This One is an Egg - featuring Ngumu Chein Blanc

A boring episode begins with a boring wine, Ngumu Chenin Blanc from South Africa.  So full of promise - a dry white from a region we hadn't tasted wine from before.  We really wanted to like it, but there wasn't much to like about it.  Somehow a discussion about picnic fare turns to comparing chickens and turkeys to pigs, and then we were distracted by the condition of the pool.  One highlight of the episode is an adorable misquote of the Music Man by Colleen that allows Chris his one "right" moment of the month.  Pool enthusiasts will enjoy the not-so-lively banter about cleaning the pool.

We are Wine Rebels - featuring Hand Craft Cabernet Sauvignon

In this episode, we feature Hand Craft Cabernet Sauvignon by Cheryl Indelicato.  This is a very affordable, yet very upscale-tasting wine.  Be sure to check out the Hand Craft website and read Cheryl's story.

The proceedings are delayed somewhat by a surprise of Mott the Hoople's All the Way From Memphis song coming on.  We love that song!  And it definitely inspired Colleen's favorite band, Def Leppard.  So much so that they covered it on their YEAH! album.

Also discussed is how much of another grape can be added to a varietal and still allow the wine to be called a varietal rather than a blend?

Go see us on Pinterest!  Lots of fun wine info!

Today we explore Hand Craft Petite Sirah.  Plus:

  • Maybe we need a wine tasting kit?
  • Is Pelourcin related to Chambourcin?
  • If we had guest stars, where would they sit?
  • I landed a gig in a video about process models!
  • The color of wine is burgundy.
  • AND...should we do a version of Greater Tuna?
